“Even if Buratai works for 600 years, his legitimate salary can’t afford 130m house in Dubai”

The corruption controversy surrounding the chief of Army staff Tukur Buratai has taken an interesting turn after the salary structure of Army officials in Nigeria was revealed.

When an investigative journalist exposed his 130m landed property in United Arab Emirates city Dubai last week, the COAS claimed he bought the property with his own efforts in a press statement released by the Nigerian Army.

Twitter user Kayode Ogundamisi ‏(@ogundamisi) says that Lt. General Buratai’s salary can’t get him a 130m naira house even if he worked for 600 years.

NGLatest dearies, what’s your take on the matter? Is Buhari’s right-hand man and chief of Army staff as corrupt as every other thieving politician out there; or is he reaping the fruits of his labour?
