Job Vacancy- Human Resource Officer

Job Title: Human Resources Officer
LOCATION: Lagos
JOB OBJECTIVE: To provide support in the various human resource functions, which include recruitment and selection, learning and development, performance management, human resources business partnering and employee counselling.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Manage the employee information database, ensuring up-to-date information on all employees.
 Prepare advertisement and notices for vacant positions in the school.
 Coordinate the recruitment process for new employees, which includes creating and developing job descriptions, screening application forms, short-listing the candidates and sending out invites to shortlisted candidates.
 Manage the test administration and interview process for shortlisted applicant
 Manage the on-boarding process for new employees; responsible for ensuring that all new employees are settled into their roles properly on resumption. ( Ensuring ID cards, the School’s handbook, calling-cards, work tools etc are made available to new employees)
 Conduct stay-and-exit-Interviews.
 Monitor and effect the confirmation process for employees as and when due.
 Interpret and administer Employees Terms and Conditions of Service.
 Attendance Management for all staff.
 Ensure effective record keeping database management and retrieval for the department.
 Leave management of staff as recommended and approved – monitoring, confirmation and feedback on leave entitlements and balance.
 Assist in coordinating the staff appraisal and performance management processes.
 Responsible for handling all enquiries to the department, liaising with the Head HR / Heads of Schools for clarification where and when necessary.
 Manage the Head HR’s diary.

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
Candidate must have a first degree with at least 5 years cognate experience in core HR functions with two of such years in a supervisory capacity. A master’s degree and/or professional certification will be an added advantage.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
 In-depth HR Generalist knowledge with strength in performance management, learning and development, recruitment and selection,etc
 Project management skills
 Ability to develop strategy, plan, organise and prioritise professional activities
 Good knowledge of MS office tools
 Good communication skills
 High level of confidentiality
 Good interpersonal skills
