Nigeria might reverse gay laws soon - GEJ

During his speech at Bloomberg’s European headquarters in London on Monday 6th June 2016, former Nigerian president Goodluck Jonathan said Nigeria could remove legal sanctions on homosexuality and same gender marriages after the country signed a law which handed out a 14-year imprisonment for gay offenders.

His words:

“In the light of deepening debates for all Nigerians and other citizens of the world to be treated equally and without discrimination, and with the clear knowledge that the issue of sexual orientation is still evolving, the nation may at the appropriate time revisit the law.”
