Nigeria will no longer offer players match bonus in US dollars
The Nigeria Football Federation has resolved that it will stop offering players match bonuses in US dollars. After a meeting of the technical committee of the NFF on Tuesday 21st June 2016, a source told Vanguard Newspapers:

“We all agree that the revenue base of the federation is dwindling by the day and if you consider the new policy of the government on foreign exchange, you must agree that there is no way we can sustain the era of paying each Super Eagles player $10,000 dollars per match and when we fail to qualify for the tournament, the federation loses everything.

“Now we will be paying them based on their collective performance as a team like it is done in most other countries of the world.”
