As the crew sailed through the waters, they spotted a bright blue cool box floating in the crocodile-infested waters. Moments later, they described how a half-naked man came running out of a nearby cave, waving his arms wildly.
The man, a roofer from Borroloola in the Northern Territory – and known as Tremine – had lost his boat after leaving it to hunt for oysters a few days earlier.
Stephen Shearman, the director of the episode and one of the five crew members who found Tremine told InsideEdition :
“He had said his last prayer. He was prepared to die and meet his maker.”
Shearman added that the crew were not actually meant to be filming in that particular location but had decided to move there after the water was too choppy at their original site.
