Police arrest British man who tried to assassinate Donald Trump

United States presidential hopeful Donald Trump could have been a dead man if 20-year-old Michael Sandford from Dorking, United Kingdom succeeded in his plans to assassinate him on Saturday 18th June 2016.

Michael tried to remove a gun from a policeman at Trump’s campaign rally in order to shoot the businessman-turned-politician before he was nabbed.

An official statement filed by LAPD read:

“At the rally, uniformed Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officer Ameel Jacob was stationed at the rally to assist providing security.

“An individual later identified as Sandford approached Officer Jacob, stating that he was seeing an autograph from Trump.

“Sandford then attempted to seize the sidearm Officer Jacob by grabbing the holster and handler of the firearm with both hands in an attempt to remove the firearm from the holster.

“Sandford was arrested and on his person was located a United Kingdom Driving Licence.”
