Police have arrested an alleged fake medical doctor and surgeon Victor Moffat Akpan who runs “Luna Hospital, Maternity & Surgery, Gwarimpa” in Abuja.

The suspect was busted following a report to and subsequent investigation by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) who in turn notified the Nigerian Police of the activities going on at the outfit.

Henry Okwuokenye, spokesman of MDCN, said that the council never granted Apkan a “homeopathic practice licence” following due to the non-approval of the Enugu school he claimed to have graduated from. Apkan in his confessional statement reportedly said that he obtained a  forged practice licence from one Mike Nwagbara at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital in Enugu back in 2002 while “Luna Hospital” was established in 2006.
